Well all of the hype has lived up to the results. The new setup of Xbox live rocks. All of the old stuff remains (theme downloads, games, and countless videos) while the expansion into a more fun environment has been added. The new avatar introduction is SO much fun. I have seen almost all of the people on my friends list go to good lengths to customize their avatars to personalize their online identity. Some look like the people they are representing, some don’t. But hey it is all about the gaming experience. If you are a member of Xbox live you probably already know what I am talking about, if not you need to get the download and check it out. I will have to say that probably one of the most exciting new features is adding Netflix to the community. You can now instantly stream “Watch Instantly” videos through your Xbox and onto your TV. It requires a pretty good internet connection so if yours is ok, expect a little lag and poor picture quality. All in all the whole concept is pretty cool though. The only down side of this is I cannot seem to quit comparing the new look and setup to the Nintendo Wii. Tell me what you think.
Anyway I have made my own avatar and posted it below. I showed you mine now show me yours.

It’s Bungie’s brainchild that has scored Microsoft millions of dollars. It’s the Halo Trilogy. If you don’t know what it is, then yes you are missing a vital part of what it is to be human. If you happen to be familiar with the game, then you are wondering why Uncle Sam is pointing at you and not Master Chief. I am not going to rant about the impressive graphics, killer game play, or the seemingly unlimited amount of tactical abilities of this title (oops look like I did). Anyway, I have been hooked on the series since the second installment of the trilogy and have been hopelessly addicted from that moment on (thanks a lot Nathan). Halo is the ONLY reason I have high speed DSL, the faster internet is just a by-product. Halo is also the biggest reason I have an XBox 360. They could have just as easily named it the “Halo 360” for me. My wife hated the whole business of it, and then (ominous music please) she joined the millions of us who are glued daily to the television to participate in the massacre of friends and foes. I have developed many friendships over the system, many of which I play with daily. Perhaps this is really what the game is all about. I mean, violence is cool and all, but it is SO much better when you share it with people who are after the same goals. You know like, kill the other team in all their bloody glory. No British reference intended. Anyway I have posted below some of my favorite screen shots from previous games. Hope you like them. If you ever want to play, look me up. My gamer tag is brunothekid. Incidentally, no, I am not a kid and my name is not Bruno. Hey I can always use the butt-whooping. I said I was hooked, I did not say I was good. See you online, game on.
