Fate Stay Night

Fate_Stay_Night

I don’t really get into hard core anime, but there are some that really strike my interest.  Usually Nathan suggests which ones that he believes will be interesting to me.  So far he has yet to fail in his intuition of what would appeal to me.  The latest anime that he has suggested is a series called Fate Stay Night.  It has a mixture of epic heroes, magic, sword play, religions, and magic.  This combination surely would seem impossible to combine without being offensive in some way.  It is quite the contrary, however.  It’s allusions to any one particular attribute is not so “hard core” that the series is entirely relying on it’s foundations to make up the entire plot of the show.  Instead, it uses the major sources from all attributes to make up a dramatic story line with dynamic characters.  I have yet to finish the show, but at the rate that we (Me and Becky) are consuming the series, it will be quite soon when we have watched them all.

I have thus far really enjoyed the whole experience.  The symbolism and references to olden days along with all the mythical stories of these times makes the series as much mystery as action adventure.  The revelation of each new character generates new excitement in the series.  So far I would highly recommend it to anyone with an open mind.  I will conclude my criticisms of the series once it is done.

That is one of my favorite animes!  The art style in it is amazing.  Coupled w/ a dark and interesting storyline, I could not stop watching it.  Once you get into the mystery and mystic of it all, you are completely hooked.  Smile

I am glad that you are liking it.

This show is so fun AND engrossing.  My favorite game is to try and guess which classes represent which mythical/historical heroes.  For the record, I did horribly.

I got the most obvious epic heroes but totally sucked at guessing the rest.  Of course, it does not help that SOME of them are Japanese epic heroes.

Could you imagine if they had put Sun Wukong(Goku) in it?  lol.
